Postdoctoral Researcher

Biography

Ehsan Hassanpour Yesaghi is a postdoctoral researcher at the samlab where he works on optical glucose sensing technologies. Before that Ehsan Hassanpour was a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, where he worked in the group of Prof. Daniela Rupp on intense XUV generation via high-harmonic generation. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from ETH Zurich in 2019, where his research focused on magnetoelectric domain control in a multiferroic rare-earth ferrite. Prior to this, he earned his M.Sc. in Photonics at Shahid Beheshti University and his B.Sc. in Physics at the University of Mazandaran in Iran.
Ehsan has a wealth of technical experience, including expertise in linear and nonlinear spectroscopy, interferometry, and high-power nanosecond lasers. He is also well-versed in cryogenics and high vacuum operation, and has experience in X-ray Laue diffractometry and sample preparation for optical measurements. In addition to his research, Ehsan has served as a laboratory manager and laser specialist, as well as a teaching assistant and tutor at ETH Zurich.
