In the pig farming industry, the process of farrowing (pig birth) can present significant challenges. Prolonged farrowing impacts the welfare of both sows and piglets. Detecting birth complications early is crucial, yet traditional monitoring methods are often inadequate and lack real-time insights, making it difficult for farmers to intervene quickly. Our project addresses these challenges by developing a new, non-invasive monitoring system using radar sensors to track the farrowing process in real-time.
