We are excited to announce our latest research breakthrough demonstrating that hypoglycemia in individuals with type 1 diabetes can be accurately detected through specific patterns in breath volatile organic compounds. This study highlights the potential of non-invasive breath analysis as a novel approach for monitoring glucose levels, paving the way for innovative diagnostic tools in diabetes management. Our work is collaborative effort involving Cléo Nicolier, Markus Laimer, Juri Künzler, Aritz Lizoain, Daniel Kerber, Stefanie Hossmann, Martina Rothenbühler, and Lilian Witthauer.
